The one thing that keeps me cranking through the day though is that we have to be ready to roll this show season! I also have some horses at THF leaving to go south to Aiken so getting them prepared helps me to keep in focus that ultimately we are working towards something even though it doesn't feel like it with these frigid temps and a million inches of snow on the ground!!
I am really fortunate to have outstanding students that stick with it through this with me. As with most places you have the "wimps" that call in and cancel, but there are those handful that no matter how cold or what the weather they are on time for their lesson and try just as hard as if it were Spring or Summer. This also is a motivating force for me, hey, if they can do it, so can I and I need to be the one setting the example!!!
For now all is good, horses are all going and feeling great, looking good and we are all keeping busy....Possibly a small schooling show planned for next weekend depending on how all the young horses go this week!!
