The barn has been a little bit hectic!
We have welcomed a few new lessons into the program: Abigale, Vivian and Sabrina (who come on occasion but are having a great time playing with oz and jo!) and also a new boarder: Ann Jamieson and Leo, a 13 year old OTTB - he needs some weight and some conditioning but I think he will be a super match for her in the long run, plus he is a bay TB, so he matches the rest of the herd! All of the horses are schooling well, even Patch is growing up (and growing on us....which is an unfortunate trait for a sale horse, it's always sad when they go when they fit right in!!). He's had a few people out to come look at him, but nothing set in stone yet. I wish he could hurry up and be three so we can start jumping him a little bit more, as I think he is going to be so super fun (he has the BEST canter.....) but at two I don't want to push him too far too fast. So hacking and w/t/c in the arena is all we're good for at the moment. We still have more jumps to be painted and odd jobs around the barn, but seriously, this is enough for one person!! I am missing my working students terribly as they really kept my busy little limited time machine running smoothly. I have also been throwing around the idea of doing another winter tack sale, please if you're interested let me know so I can start putting things together. All of the proceeds will again be donated to a rescue of our choice (or maybe we will do a vote at the sale?!) so if you have any items that you would like to donate to this cause
