Effective February 1, 2015 - We are no longer offering a trial period for the horses in our program. We take extreme pride in the quality of the care and training of our horses and need to ensure that this is maintained while our horses still belong to us. You are more than welcome to come out to our farm as many times as you like to try the horse, but until the horses ownership has transferred fully and the horse is paid in full, we cannot allow our horses to leave the property without the supervision of a Thunder Crest employee.
We will however hold a horse for up to 7 days on the farm with a NON-REFUNDABLE deposit of 10% of the original asking price, that can be applied to the final purchase price of the horse. During this time you may come and ride as often as you like, vet the horse, have a lesson with your trainer (as long as proof of insurance is provided) or arrange for an off property schooling with Kait. During this time the horse is essentially yours and will no longer be "on the market" however, after this period of 7 days, the horse must be paid for in full with shipping arranged or they will become available again to the public.
If you choose to purchase a horse from Thunder Crest, you will have a 3 day grace period to arrange for the pickup and transport of your new horse. If you must leave the horse here for longer than 3 days after the transfer of funds, there will be an additional boarding fee of $30/day, starting on the 4th day. We will not be held liable for any accident, injury, or death of any horse left on the premises after transfer of ownership.
