The new addition, Pagani is turning out to be a very cool dude. I was not sure what he might be at first, he definitely has the kid's horse attitude, and with his furry winter coat he really isn't anything special to look at, but there might be a bright future ahead. He is brave, kind, balanced, and works into a very cute little hunter frame with flat kneed movements. I either seem to attract or make hunters like it's my job (there are worse jobs to have I suppose) but it's looking like that is where his future will lie.
Ozzy's dressage is improving like crazy and after ten years, I would say it's about time. After our long bout with an abscess, it's been tough coming back from a fitness level point of view, but every other aspect is spot on. All we need is big hills or giant snowbanks, whichever comes first and we will be headed on the right track to hopefully another show season with the old man. He will be 25 this year, and although he is needing some maintenance of a joint supplement and adequan, he's going strong and not ready to quit yet!
Jolie is coming right along and this has certainly been HER winter. Her form over fences is improving a ton, and rideability is going right along with it. She has been jumping consistently every week since the summer and has not touched a single rail, ever. Her carefulness and bravery are proving herself to be a special girl. Her future may be in the hunters with her fabulous movement, but she is certainly cut out to be a very competitive jumper with her incredible athleticism. She is still going to be available for sale or lease to the right situation only, but her price will increase with mileage so keep an eye out for her!
